Today’s Problem: Chair Apparent

stevelambert_modern_chair_3_4_angle1Mrs. Riser wants to  place 10 chairs along the walls in a rectangular gymnasium so that there are an equal number of chairs along each wall. How can it be done?

  1. She puts two chairs in two opposite corners, facing each other. Then she puts the remaining 8 chairs on the four walls, two on each side. So there will be 3 chairs on each side of the wall. Like this:
